LIBRARY TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (SAFETY)
About the role
The Library Technical Assistant (LTA) (Safety) under the supervision of the Supervisor of Correctional Education Program (SCEP) or Educational Administrator designee, and functional lead of the Senior Librarian (CF) or Librarian (CF) when applicable, will perform duties in accordance with the State Personnel Board classification specification within the Institution’s Legal or General Library collections.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine library tasks including shelving books, cataloging materials, and maintaining library equipment.
- Assist patrons with reference inquiries and assist with research projects.
- Manage library collections, ensuring they are organized and accessible.
- Provide support for educational programs and events.
- Ensure the security and maintenance of library resources.
Requirements
Minimum requirements include possession of the minimum qualifications as outlined in the Class Specification.
Qualifications
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Possession of a bachelor’s degree in library science or a related field is desirable.
Skills
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

Pay
$3,989.00 - $4,992.00 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Full-time position, working standard 40-hour weeks.
