The person in this position performs moderately complex library support, administrative, and technical tasks with greater independence and responsibility that support library leadership, the implementation of library practices and procedures, and contribute to efficient library operations. Assist patrons in accessing services, answer questions, and provide support as needed. May be assigned to one or more program/service area such as volunteers, outreach, publicity, and all ages programming. Act as person-in-charge (PIC) as assigned. Qualifications Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities in the Position Description is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:Education: A High School Diploma or Equivalent, supplemented by additional education in library science, office administration, or related field. AND Experience: Two (2) years of experience working as a Library Aide, performing general office tasks, or other similar experience. Preference will be given to candidates that are bilingual in Spanish/English, have prior supervisory experience/of volunteer oversight and experience in community outreach.
