Position Details
The Library Services Manager oversees the daily operations, services, staff, and resources of the campus library to support student success and institutional goals.
Responsibilities
- Planning and evaluating library services, policies, budgets, and procedures
- Managing circulation, reference, technical, and access services
- Ensuring effective use of library resources by students, faculty, staff, and community patrons
- Collaborating with faculty on collection development, instructional support, and information literacy initiatives
- Supervising and evaluating library staff and student employees
- Cooking workshops, library orientations, and training programs
- Administering library systems and applications
- Monitoring service quality and operational effectiveness
- Working closely with the Business Manager on budget planning, purchasing, subscriptions, and fiscal oversight
- Participating in institutional planning, professional development, and library consortia activities
- Ensuring compliance with institutional policies and procedures
- Performing other related duties in support of the library and the institution
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree + 6 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 4 years of relevant experience
- Master's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
