About the role

Join King County Library System as a Library Page! King County Library System is accepting applications for Library Page positions to fill openings throughout our library system. This recruitment will be used to build a pool of qualified candidates for vacancies across the entire county as we expand service to our communities.

Responsibilities

  • Shelves and maintains order of materials.
  • Moves, distributes and assists with processing of incoming and outgoing materials manually and using materials handling equipment.
  • Affords assistance with opening, maintaining and closing libraries, including equipment and grounds activities.
  • Prepares rooms for meetings and assures that accessories needed for meetings are available.
  • Inspects materials for damages and process accordingly.
  • Affords assistance with program setup and takedown.
  • Affords assistance with displays and assigned projects and programs.
  • Provides minimal directional assistance to patrons.
  • Refers other questions.

Requirements

  • Ability to read English and sort in alphanumeric order;
  • Ability to learn the Dewey Decimal System.
