Library Manager
About the Role
The Library Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Camp Verde, AZ, responsible for overseeing the daily operations and strategic direction of the public library. This role manages library staff, coordinates work schedules, and ensures consistent, high-quality delivery of library services to community members. The Library Manager develops and implements library programs, collections, and services, including budgeting, policy development, and resource allocation.
Day-to-day tasks include supervising circulation and reference services, maintaining the library’s physical and digital collections, coordinating community outreach and events, and ensuring a welcoming, safe environment for all patrons. The role also involves collaborating with Town departments, monitoring performance metrics, and staying current with best practices in library science and public administration.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and strategic direction of the public library.
- Manage library staff and coordinate work schedules.

Qualifications
- Strong background in Leadership, People Management, and Library Services, with experience in public or community libraries.
- Demonstrated Library Management skills, including staff supervision, scheduling, budgeting, and policy implementation.
- Excellent Communication skills for interacting with patrons, staff, Town leadership, and community partners.
- Proven Customer Service skills with a focus on creating an inclusive, respectful, and supportive environment for all library users.
- Experience with library technologies, integrated library systems, and basic computer applications.
- Ability to plan and deliver community programs, educational workshops, and outreach initiatives.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Ability to work on-site, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed to support library programming.
