Library Director

Qualifications & Requirements

• MLS or MLIS from an ALA-accredited program is preferred.
• A minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible professional library experience, including at least three years in a supervisory or administrative capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
• Demonstrated knowledge of library administration, HR management, and budget planning.
• Familiarity with computer applications, emerging library technology, and integrated library systems (ILS).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation And Benefits

• The Director works a flexible schedule that primarily encompasses regular daytime business hours but requires adjustment to accommodate evening/weekend meetings, community events, and professional conferences.
• The Town of Hudson offers a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health and dental insurance, participation in the New Hampshire State Retirement System, paid time off, and other municipal benefits.
