Library Assistant Floater

About the role

Part-time public service position, 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons on the circulation desk, at self-service kiosks, and throughout the library space as needed.
• Perform all day-to-day tasks required of library staff.
• Assist with crowd control during after-school hours and enforce rules of conduct.
• Shelve library materials, check materials in and out, and answer patron questions.
• Register patrons for library cards, perform information searching, and provide basic computer troubleshooting.

Schedule

• Available to work some evenings and most Fridays and Saturdays.
• Assigned to work at different locations on a weekly basis as a substitute throughout the service area.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation.

Pay

Salary range starts at $15.37 per hour.
