Library Assistant

About the role
Assist the library media specialist with office/clerical duties, locating, circulating, and shelving library materials. Support the mission of the Library and Instructional Media Program and promote access to library resources by providing technical assistance to the library media specialist and assistance to teachers, students, and other patrons.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 48 hours of approved college credit, an associate degree from an accredited school, or successful completion of a district approved highly qualified test preferred
- One (1) year experience working with children preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stoop, bend, stretch
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders or stepstools to reach upper shelves
Skills
- Proficient or willing to learn Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
