LIBRARIAN III - SHIFT WORK - OAHU

About the role

The immediate vacancies are located at various libraries across the State of Hawaii. Positions include Young Adult Librarians and Children's Librarians.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full range of professional services in a service or functional area.
• Serve as the librarian responsible for providing the full range of professional services within a particular service area.
• Catalog and classify materials presenting the full range of cataloging problems.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
• One and one-half (1 - 1/2) years of progressively responsible professional experience in one or more major functional areas of librarianship.
• A master's degree in Library Science from an accredited college or university.
• Relevant substitutions as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Library Science: Deemed to meet all the education and experience requirements for Librarian III.
• Substitutions allowed as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements.

Skills

• Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends.
