Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary communication link between the plant, corporate teams, and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate customer and vendor interactions, including visit preparation, presentations, and follow-up actions.
- Prepare, distribute, and track key communications, updates, and action items related to plant operations and initiatives.
- Support plant startup, launch readiness, and production ramp-up activities.
- Coordinate cross-functional meetings, plant reviews, customer visits, and audits.
- Track open issues, risks, and countermeasures, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
- Ensure customer requirements, standards, and expectations are clearly communicated to plant teams.
- Assist with supplier coordination for materials, services, and operational needs.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and summaries on plant performance, launch milestones, and key initiatives.
- Maintain organized documentation for communications, compliance, and operational records.
- Support leadership with scheduling, planning, and coordination of strategic activities.
- Ensure plant operations comply with Adient policies, procedures, and automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO, and customer-specific requirements).
- Support corrective actions related to audits, quality issues, or operational gaps.
- Promote structured problem-solving and clear escalation paths across teams.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, operations, project coordination, or plant support roles.
- Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience in automotive plant startups, launches, or ramp-up environments.
- Familiarity with OEM customer interactions and supplier coordination.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, problem-solving methodologies (8D, A3), and quality systems.
- Experience working in unionized or non-unionized manufacturing environments.
- Able to work 2nd shift 6:30 pm–3:30 am.
