About the role

The General Liability Specialist/Senior Specialist is responsible for managing a caseload of excess general liability claims, consisting of complex and catastrophic claims along with providing oversight of TPAs and claims processes in both of our excess liability programs; reviewing and overseeing claims for appropriate claim strategy, reserves, reimbursement, reinsurance and resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of excess general liability claims, including complex and catastrophic claims
• Provide oversight of Third Party Administrators (TPAs) and claims processes in both excess liability programs
• Review and oversee claims for appropriate claim strategy, reserves, reimbursement, reinsurance, and resolution

Requirements

• Experience in managing excess liability claims
• Knowledge of reinsurance and claims management principles
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in claims management or risk management
• CPMI (Claims Professional Management Institute) certification preferred

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of insurance policies and procedures
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
