LGA Fuel Guide Coordinator
Job Summary
The Fuel Guide Coordinator is responsible for safety, on-the-job training, and quality activities at the station with an objective of reducing employee injuries, aircraft, and equipment damages. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the development of audit plans, conducting and/or assisting accident/incident investigations, conducting safety and quality audits, training, coordinating safety and quality initiatives, reviewing station employee injury trends, directing corrective actions for aircraft damage, conducting risk assessments, ensuring the completion and updating of the Quality Management System, providing periodic progress reports, and completing projects/assignments as directed.
Activities
- Ensures safety and quality audits are conducted, reviewed, and closed
- Aids in the development of audit plans for the station
- Conducts and/or assists accident/incident investigations, as required
- Conducts safety and quality audits within the station, as directed
- Conducts safety and quality training within the station, as directed
- Covers safety and quality initiatives
- Reviews station employee injury trends and directs corrective action
- Reviews aircraft damage and directs corrective action
- Conducts Risk Assessments as directed
- Ensures that Risk Assessments are completed at the station level
- Covers safety promotion initiatives
- Covers quality initiatives
- Reviews and coordinates the Quality Management System completeness and ensures that the system is kept current
- Provides station GM with periodic progress reports, audit schedules, and assessments of safety and quality programs
- Completes projects/assignments as directed by station GM
- Provides reports (as required) to HOA/Region/Station regarding trends, performance, gaps, etc. or other reports as directed
- Aids in station level training requirements to ensure that all training requirements are satisfactorily met
- Aids/Trains/Coordinates as requested by the station GM
Profile
- 2 years of ground handling or airline ramp/safety experience
- Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and strategic thinker
- Ability to research training, safety, and quality topics and make concise, direct, cost-effective recommendations for improvement
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and company systems
- Knowledge of training, safety, and quality programs and procedures
- A sense of passion for improving safety standards and a commitment to continuous improvement
- Personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness
