Level II Security Officer (Training Provided)

PAY & CERTIFICATION PROCESS

• $10.25/hour while working as a Security Screener pending certification
• The Security Department will provide Level II Security training opportunities
• Applicants will have 60 days to obtain and provide their State of Texas Level II Security Certification
• Once credentials are obtained and verified, pay increases to $14.75/hour as a Level II Security Officer
• Applicants who do not obtain certification within 60 days may remain in the Screener position at the Screener pay rate

About the Role

This position is ideal for individuals interested in public safety, emergency response, customer service, or law enforcement careers. While awaiting certification, you will gain valuable experience working as a Security Screener, learning park operations, guest interaction, and security procedures before transitioning into a fully certified Security Officer role.

Responsibilities

• Help provide a safe, secure, and family-friendly environment for guests and Team Members throughout the park
• Conduct guest and Team Member screening at park entry points
• Provide exceptional guest service while enforcing park policies and procedures
• Patrol assigned areas of the park to maintain safety and security

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to successfully obtain a State of Texas Level II Security Certification within 60 days
• Strong communication and guest service skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
• Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods of time
• Ability to follow procedures, policies, and directions from leadership
• Previous security or customer service experience is preferred, but not required
