Level II RT/NDE Technicians - Travel/Turnarounds

MISTRAS is hiring dedicated Level II RT and Level II MT, PT, UTT & PMI Technicians willing to travel and work projects and turnarounds as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and calibrate equipment
  • Conduct tests with appropriate NDT technique(s)
  • Interpret, evaluate and document results
  • Direct the work of trainees and Level I technicians
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Obtain and analyze information
  • Edit and present numerical data effectively
  • Familiarity with codes, standards, and other contractual documents controlling the method

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A for MT/PT/UTT
  • Prior certification as an NDE Level II with one (1) year experience or prior certification as an NDE Level I technician with adequate field experience hours to certify to Level II per SNT-TC1A
  • Proof of classroom hours/training in NDT
  • Previous Level II certifications/OJT

Working Conditions

  • Field duties require outdoor work in a plant environment
  • Interaction with other crew employees, supervisors, and client representatives
  • Work in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise
  • Must be physically fit and able to carry 50 lbs
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department
  • May be at more than one jobsite in a day; must tolerate climate changes
  • May be required to travel out of town periodically

Essential Physical Functions

  • Ability to frequently lift and carry 50 lbs
