Level II NDT Technician - Corpus Christi, TX

MISTRAS is hiring dedicated Level II RT and Level II MT, PT, UTT Technicians local to Corpus Christi, TX.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate equipment
• Conduct tests with appropriate NDT technique(s)
• Interpret, evaluate, and document results
• Direct the work of trainees and Level I technicians
• Apply knowledge of codes, standards, and contractual documents controlling the method
• Work with minimal supervision
• Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
• Obtain and analyze information
• Edit and present numerical data effectively

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC-1A for MT/PT/UTT
• Prior certification as an NDE Level II with one (1) year of experience or prior certification as an NDE Level I technician with adequate field experience hours to certify to Level II per SNT-TC-1A
• Must provide the following documents:
  • Proof of classroom hours/training in NDT
  • Previous Level II certifications/OJT

Working Conditions

• Field duties require outdoor work in a plant environment
• Interaction with crew employees, supervisors, and client representatives
• Work in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise
• Must be physically fit and able to carry 50 lbs
• Must wear safety equipment as required by the safety department
• May work at multiple jobsites in a day; must tolerate climate changes
• May be required to travel out of town periodically
