Summary

Document Solutions is seeking a motivated, self-starting IT Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in the IT field, the ability to learn new technologies, and excellent customer service skills.

About the role

The primary duties include working directly with customers and Level 1 Technicians to resolve IT service tickets. Responsibilities also include remote support for workstations, servers, firewalls, routers, and coordinating IT support tickets.

Responsibilities

  • Handle ticket escalations ranging from server support, network issues, and software installation
  • Coordinate and schedule IT support tickets to ensure maximum utilization of billable resources
  • Perform on-site installations / repairs as necessary
  • Troubleshoot and resolve firewall, router, and other network related issues
  • Implement and troubleshoot spam filters, O365, Microsoft Exchange, and associated email solutions
  • Work as the point of contact to customers for ticket escalations
  • Be familiar with business-class network technologies such as TCP/IP, VPNs, VLANs, and QoS
  • Be familiar with Microsoft Server technologies such as Active Directory, Hyper-V, Exchange, and SQL

Requirements

  • Clean NJ Driver’s license
  • At least 1 year of MSP support experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems / Office Applications / Ethernet Networking
  • Ability to troubleshoot IT issues quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to stay current with ever-changing technology and IT solutions
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Enthusiastic positive attitude
  • Self-motivation with strong initiative to succeed
