Duties And Responsibilities

  • Aid Level II Technician in executing and completing daily tasks as directed.
  • Prepare, set up, and complete necessary paperwork as required by both client and company guidelines under direct supervision.
  • Establish boundaries and surveillance of the work area, preventing unauthorized personnel from entering if necessary, and maintain the cleanliness of the work area and vehicles.
  • Perform basic NDT inspections according to the Level I method under the guidance of a Level II Technician.
  • Ensure cleanliness of all work areas and vehicles.
  • Observe and document test procedures and product compliance to internal and industry specifications, applying knowledge and skills learned based on Level I certifications.
  • Follow and enforce company-required safe work practices and procedures at all times.
  • Adhere to company policies at all times.
  • Communicate professionally and demonstrate excellent customer service skills both internally and externally.
  • Enforce and abide by safe operation and personal safety protocols using required Personal Protective Equipment and adhere to company safety procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge And Skills

  • Knowledge of NDT equipment and processes based on Level I certification achieved.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of inspection technology.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and operational field requirements regarding radiation safety.
  • The ability to read and apply technical documents and procedures in the field, preferred.
  • Knowledge of arithmetic and algebra, preferred.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite of products.
  • A sense of urgency, good attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to convey information effectively to customers and colleagues.

Education And Work Experience

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three (3) months of experience in the NDT industry is required.

Certificates And Licenses

  • A State Radiographer Card is required.
