Level 2 Audio-Visual Technician

About the role
Our client is seeking a Level 2 Audio-Visual Technician to join their team onsite in Rio Rancho, NM. This role involves frequent interaction with clients in person and via phone, email, and IM. You will work in a dynamic team, cross-train to backfill for peer team members, and take on additional responsibilities periodically to meet client needs while gaining continuous hands-on training and experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily and quarterly preventative maintenance checks in the conference room environment
- Update the database of record, both online and offline, on a daily basis
- Act as point of contact for Level 1 technicians
- Monitor online queues to assist customers with break/fix and meeting support requests
- Engage customers' requests for meeting support
- Update Extron and AMX firmware for preventative maintenance
- Engage external vendors for RMA replacement
- Escalate large or out-of-scope break/fix issues and workarounds to L3/L4
- Assist and coordinate with L3/L4 on large deployment or renovation projects
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of audio/visual experience
- Complete knowledge of audio/video signal flow
- Understanding of Extron components and integrated AV signal paths (Scalers, Switchers, DAs, Extenders)
- May be required to travel between sites using a personal vehicle or company van
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. solo
- May be required to walk, sit, stand, crawl, or kneel for extended periods
- Excellent customer service skills and strong written/verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word) and Windows
Pay
The rate for this position is between $20.21 - $26.95 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors such as geography, market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications may affect starting pay within this range.
