Level 1 Technician
About the role
Our client has a brand new opportunity for a qualified Level 1 Technician to join their team onsite in McLean, VA.
Responsibilities
- Set up and configure employee workstations, including docking stations, monitors, cables, and peripherals
- Verify proper functionality of workstation equipment prior to employee use
- Troubleshoot basic hardware and connectivity issues related to docking stations, monitors and display settings, keyboard and mouse peripherals, and power and cable connections
- Respond to employee requests for assistance when equipment is not functioning correctly
- Perform basic cable management and workstation organization
- Escalate unresolved technical issues to appropriate support teams
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused presence while supporting end users
- Document and communicate recurring issues or equipment concerns to project leadership
Qualifications
- Previous experience in desktop support, field services, help desk, or technical support roles preferred
- Experience setting up and troubleshooting desktop and laptop hardware and peripheral devices
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of workstation connectivity and cable management
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 25 lbs.
Pay
The rate for this position is between $18.70 - $22.00 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
