About the Program
Lessie Bates Davis Neighborhood House serves multiple populations across the metropolitan area:
- Seniors: The Season Circle Senior Cafe provides a safe place for seniors to gather, engage, and remain socially connected. Two hot meals (breakfast and lunch) are served on weekdays, and meals on wheels deploy hundreds of meals.
- Youth: Trinity Center of Excellence - Reimagine Program is designed to teach youth the values needed to be active citizens and members of their community.
- Children: The Family Development Center provides early childhood education that helps children build a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Through early exposure to social-emotional development, language development, and foundational academic skills, children are prepared to enter school confident, capable, and ready to learn.
- Families: LBDNH Food Pantry serves hundreds of families in the metropolitan area 5 days/week. Food pantries strengthen communities by fostering a sense of support and providing access to healthy food, contributing to overall well-being.
- Veterans: The Joseph Center, a residential facility for homeless veterans aka the Eagle's Nest of St. Clair County, is a 26-bed transitional housing facility in East St. Louis.
