Job Summary

N480 Population Health PNE
During this clinical course, students will demonstrate leadership in organizations, systems, and populations as a team member and coordinator of health care. Students will practice within an ethical framework at the community and systems levels in their work with vulnerable and diverse populations. They will have the opportunity to reflect on their own values and beliefs. Principles emphasized in the course include advocacy, integrity, accountability in practice and leadership, inclusiveness, respect, and social justice using evidence-based strategies. Students will examine the influence of nursing on the health of populations with consideration for how socio-economic and physical environments affect care.

Responsibilities

• Attend all simulations and clinical conferences
• Perform clinical site visits
• Provide feedback to students
• Grade all assignments and simulations
• Bear primary responsibility for computing final grades in a timely fashion
• Teach in a hospital or clinic setting
• May include other on-site work hours

Required Qualifications

• A master of nursing degree is required
• Prioritization to applicants with both didactic and clinical teaching experience and content expertise in microbiology
• A nursing license in the State of Michigan is required for this position (current licensure or willingness to obtain licensure)
• Prior to start date must be in compliance with all health requirements including standard precautions such as Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, orientations, licenses/certifications, policies and procedures both internal and external to the University for your assigned classroom(s) and/or clinical site(s)
