The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan - Dearborn invites applications for a lecturer LEO position.
About the role
This is a 75% lecturer LEO I position. ME349 Instrument & Measuremt Systems Modern instrumentation systems are considered beginning with generic issues such as calibration, error analysis, and dynamic response characteristics of instrumentation. Specific transducer systems (temperature, force and pressure, etc.) are presented, as well as interfacing techniques and elementary signal processing.
Responsibilities
- Teaching one section of ME 349 Instrumentation and Measurement Systems and two sections of the accompanying ME349L Instrumentation and Measurement Systems Laboratories.
- ME349 is a 3 credit hour course and meets on Mondays and Wednesdays at 12:30-1:45pm.
- The laboratory sections meet at 11:00am-1:45pm and 2:00-4:4:45pm on Fridays.
- Reviewing the current laboratory assignments and preparing new laboratory manuals for ME 320L Fluid Mechanics Laboratories and ME371L Heat transfer Laboratories.
- Aiding the course instructor in one section of ME320L Fluid Mechanics Laboratories.
Requirements
- A successful candidate will have a PhD Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related area, expertise in methods of experiment and measurements, and knowledge of undergraduate Mechanical Engineering curriculum.
