LEO Lecturer I in Biology 130L
Job Summary
The University of Michigan-Dearborn invites applications for a LEO Lecturer I, non-tenure-track appointment beginning August 26, 2026, through December 31, 2026, for the Fall 2026 term. The contractual full-time rate per term is $25,500, with the term salary dependent on the number of courses taught and course effort percentage, up to 33.33%. The successful candidate will be comfortable teaching in person for Biology 130L, Introduction to Organismal and Environmental Biology Laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Teaching undergraduate lecture and/or laboratory courses
- Developing and providing students with a syllabus and materials using the online course management system
- Evaluating and grading students
- Holding regularly scheduled office hours
- Handling routine matters related to instruction and proctoring midterm and final exams
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must possess an earned M.Sc. in Biology with relevant specialization
- Relevant teaching experience and evidence of teaching excellence
- CV, teaching evaluations, and relevant recommendations will be used for evaluation

- Candidates who have earned a PhD in Biology with relevant specialization
- Relevant teaching experience and evidence of teaching excellence
