About the role

The position is at the Department of Systematic Theology. The department conducts research and teaching in three branches of systematic theology: dogmatics, practical theology, and ethics and religious philosophy.

Responsibilities

Virtually all tasks are related to ethics and religious philosophy, with particular responsibility for teaching courses offered through the Study Abroad in Scandinavia (DIS) program.:

• Conduct research in ethics and religious philosophy.
• Teach courses in ethics and religious philosophy.
• Collaborate with the DIS program to offer courses in ethics and religious philosophy.

Requirements

The candidate should have a Ph.D. in theology with a focus on ethics and religious philosophy and be able to demonstrate research activity in this area. Emphasis will be placed on hermeneutics and phenomenology, including trustworthiness with Danish thinkers in this tradition. Additionally, teaching competence at lecturer level, which can be documented in a teaching portfolio or similar, including documented teaching experience with English-speaking and Danish-speaking courses at university level. It would be advantageous if the candidate has experience with teaching in the DIS program, as well as experience in disseminating research findings. Documented experience with individual and collective applications should be evident in the application, as well as which research projects the candidate wishes to take up and contribute to as part of their appointment.

The qualifications required for appointment as a lecturer at the University of Copenhagen are based on five general criteria: research, teaching, innovation & societal impact, organizational contribution and leadership. Pay

The appointment is made according to a collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC. A total pension contribution of 18.07% of salary and a supplementary pension contribution are provided. Negotiation of additional contributions may be possible based on qualifications.
