About the role

As a specialist in Information and Documentation, you will work in libraries, documentation centers, and archives. You will systematically capture, organize, and make information and media accessible to others. You will select media, catalog it professionally, and ensure its preservation. Additionally, you will assist customers with research and ensure they can quickly and reliably find the information they need. Your work will involve both physical media, such as books and documents, and digital databases and modern information systems. This role combines organizational, technical, and communicative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Selection, cataloging, and management of media and information
• Maintenance and organization of collections in libraries, archives, and documentation centers
• Support for research and information requests
• Advising and assisting customers
• Working with digital databases and information systems
• Ensuring the order and quality of collections
• Organizing and conducting events and guided tours

• Fair remuneration:
  • 1st year of apprenticeship: CHF 770.– per month
  • 2nd year of apprenticeship: CHF 980.– per month
  • 3rd year of apprenticeship: CHF 1’380.– per month

Apprenticeship duration: 3 years (EFZ)
