About the Opportunity: The Legislative Aide (District 94) supports a state representative by managing administrative and public relations tasks essential to legislative operations. The role involves comprehensive understanding of legislative policies and procedures, contributing directly to the efficiency and effectiveness of the representative’s office. This position plays a crucial part in facilitating communication with constituents, stakeholders, and coordinating legislative activities.
Responsibilities
- Apply House Rules, Protocol, and legislative administrative policies
- Manage calendar and scheduling
- Oversee constituent management
- Conduct legislative research
- Support legislative processes
- Handle public relations and prepare press releases
- Maintain stakeholder relations
- Serve as designated Tallahassee staff during committee weeks and sessions
- Complete mandatory trainings as assigned
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree with two years administrative experience or a Bachelor’s Degree
- Professional administrative experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis
- Must reside and work virtually in Florida if eligible for virtual work
- Required to file a Statement of Financial Interests electronically within 30 days of hire
Pay
Annual salary of $47,364
