About the role
We are seeking experienced in-house Corporate Counsels to contribute their legal expertise to projects focused on advancing next-generation AI technologies. In this role, you will help evaluate and improve AI systems designed to support real-world legal work, with a particular focus on technology transactions, contract review, negotiation, and redlining. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys with substantial in-house experience negotiating technology agreements who are interested in applying their legal judgment to emerging AI applications. No prior AI experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform simulated contract negotiations, reviews, and redlining exercises involving technology-related agreements.
- Review and evaluate AI-generated responses to contract scenarios, identifying legal risks, inaccuracies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide detailed feedback on contract interpretation, negotiation strategy, risk allocation, and drafting quality.
- Develop objective evaluation frameworks, grading criteria, and rubrics for assessing AI performance on legal contract tasks.
- Create and refine realistic contract scenarios based on real-world technology transactions and in-house legal workflows.
- Collaborate with product, legal, and research teams to improve training data, evaluation guidelines, and best practices.
- Translate practical legal judgment into structured feedback that can be used to improve AI model performance.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active admission to at least one U.S. state or jurisdiction bar.
- 3+ years of in-house legal experience focused on technology transactions.
- Significant experience negotiating and redlining agreements such as Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), and related commercial contracts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to evaluate complex contractual issues.
- Ability to translate legal expertise and practical judgment into clear, actionable feedback.
- Demonstrated interest in the intersection of law, technology, and innovation.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
