About the role
This is a hybrid opportunity based in Folsom, CA, with occasional in-office attendance for meetings, trial preparation, and new hire training.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, edit, and format legal correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents
- Manage case files in a paper-lite environment with a strong emphasis on electronic document management
- Handle e-filing with California courts and maintain litigation calendars, court appearances, and filing deadlines
- Cook up depositions, medical examinations, arbitrations, hearings, and expert witness activities
- Utilize legal technology and document management systems to support litigation workflows
- Work closely with attorneys to ensure efficient case administration and organization
Requirements
- 0–2 years of legal secretarial or administrative experience (civil litigation experience preferred)
- Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and document formatting
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Teams, OneDrive, Adobe Acrobat, and electronic document management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of legal secretary experience, experience with litigation support, trial preparation, and California court procedures, familiarity with legal software such as Team Connect and e-Docs, knowledge of California court e-filing processes and local court rules
