Gujarat Maritime University is inviting applications for legal professionals to support the Directorate General of Shipping (DG Shipping) in matters relating to the Seafarers Welfare Fund Society (SWFS) and the Seamen’s Provident Fund Organisation (SPFO), Mumbai.

Eligibility

• LL.M. in any one of the following disciplines: Maritime Law, Public International Law, Labour Law, Contract Management, Arbitration
• Minimum 1–2 years of post-qualification legal experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support to the Directorate General of Shipping in matters relating to the Seafarers Welfare Fund Society (SWFS) and the Seamen’s Provident Fund Organisation (SPFO).
• Assist in strengthening the welfare, rights, and social security framework for India’s seafaring community.
• Support legal and regulatory functions relating to maritime governance.

Remuneration

₹60,000 per month (Consolidated)
