Legal & Privacy Compliance Operations Manager

About the role
We are seeking a legal and privacy compliance professional to join our collaborative legal, privacy, and compliance team. In this role, you will play a key part in RVO Health’s privacy and healthcare compliance programs, managing operations and supporting the business in meeting legal, privacy, and regulatory requirements, including federal and state privacy laws, HIPAA, TCPA, FDA, and other applicable regulations.
Schedule
RVO Health operates on an in-office work schedule. Employees are expected to work from the South Charlotte office (1101 Red Ventures Dr, Fort Mill, SC 29707) Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week. Remote work is welcome on Mondays and Fridays.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of privacy and regulatory compliance programs.
- Develop and maintain program documentation, including policies, procedures, standards, and guidance.
- Monitor regulatory changes and updates.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, gap assessments, and tests.
- Develop and maintain training and awareness materials.
- Manage program reporting and metrics.
- Establish privacy and regulatory frameworks for vendor management, including questionnaires, checklists, playbooks, and other tools.
- Develop, maintain, and implement incident response programs.
- Detect, investigate, and respond to compliance program issues, including reports of noncompliance, complaints, and regulatory investigations.
Requirements
- At least 2-4 years of experience in privacy and/or healthcare compliance, with a focus on general health privacy and/or HIPAA.
- Business acumen with the ability to interact and communicate across all levels of the organization.
- High level of personal integrity and professionalism in handling confidential matters.

- Experience working within an internal compliance program.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in a relevant field.
- Preferred: Experience researching, interpreting, and reporting on a variety of laws and regulations.
- Preferred: Experience using AI tools to support compliance operations.
- Preferred: Experience with privacy management tools or software.
- Preferred: Familiarity with privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, MHMDA, or similar frameworks.
- Preferred: Familiarity with healthcare and digital laws such as HIPAA, Anti-Kickback Statute, TCPA, FTC guidance, and others.
Pay
Starting salary: $104,000 - $115,000. Note that actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
