About the role
Luminator Technology Group is seeking a Legal Operations Manager to join their team at their Plano, TX headquarters. Only local candidates will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead initial review and redlining of commercial contracts (customer, supplier, consulting, NDA, etc.)
- Ensure alignment with approved company positions on: Payment terms, IP ownership, Liability and indemnification, Data protection and confidentiality
- Escalate complex legal issues to external counsel as required
- Maintain centralized contract repository and version control
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve standard contract templates
- Drive adoption and adherence across business units globally
- Implement contract playbooks and approval matrices (DOA alignment)
- Reduce cycle times by minimizing unnecessary legal review
- Act as primary point of contact for all external law firms
- Routinely route matters to appropriate counsel (by geography / specialty)
- Manage scope definition and ensure work is aligned with business priorities
- Consolidate legal advice into actionable guidance for internal stakeholders
- Own legal budget and forecasting in partnership with Finance
- Review and approve all legal invoices for accuracy and scope alignment
- Enforce billing guidelines (rates, staffing mix, efficiency expectations)
- Track and report legal spend by matter, region, and firm
- Identify cost reduction opportunities (alternative fee arrangements, consolidation of firms)
- Implement scalable legal processes and tools (CLM systems, tracking tools)
- Create KPI dashboards (contract cycle time, external spend, matter volume)
- Drive standardization globally across regions (NA, EMEA, LATAM)
- Partner with finance, procurement, and commercial organizations to improve upstream contract quality

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 10+ years of paralegal or legal operations experience (in-house preferred)
- Strong experience in commercial contract review and negotiation support
- Demonstrated experience managing external counsel and legal budgets
- High proficiency in drafting and standardizing legal templates
- Strong financial mindset (budgeting, cost control, ROI of legal spend)
- Ability to operate independently in a lean, fast-paced environment
- Technical and business knowledge using Microsoft Excel; proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications is also required, including but not limited to Word and PowerPoint.
