Legal Operations Lead
About the role
The Legal Production Lead is the operational leader of the firm's legal production team, responsible for ensuring client matters move efficiently, accurately, and consistently from engagement through completion. This role combines case management, client advocacy, team leadership, operational oversight, performance management, and KPI accountability.
The Legal Production Lead serves as the primary operational resource for the legal production team and collaborates closely with the Firm Administrator, Managing Attorney, Billing, Attorneys, and other departments to identify and resolve issues impacting client service, profitability, production, or firm performance.
This position is accountable for monitoring the legal production pipeline, addressing key questions such as: What needs to be done? Who owns it? Is it on schedule? What is holding it up? What needs to be escalated? The role functions as both a working leader and an operational leader, potentially carrying a caseload while ensuring the broader team meets firm standards and performance expectations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the legal production team to ensure client matters progress efficiently and accurately.
- Act as the primary operational resource for the legal production team.
- Collaborate with Firm Administrator, Managing Attorney, Billing, Attorneys, and other departments to resolve issues affecting client service, profitability, or production.
- Monitor the legal production pipeline, tracking status, ownership, timelines, and escalations.
- Serve as both a working leader and operational leader, potentially managing a caseload while ensuring team performance meets firm standards.
Pay
$65,000 to start.
