Key Responsibilities
- Work as a key member of the Legal team, executing departmental operations and supporting legal service delivery across the business.
- Support and communicate with business constituents; provide guidance and outstanding client service to internal business teams with respect to legal issue management.
- Manage customer incident reporting function, including serving as the primary liaison with insurance providers/adjusters, assisting in the conduct of investigations.
- Aid in the preparation of corporate legal filings; ensure proper indexing and filing of original legal documents.
- Assist the legal team with litigation projects, including document holds, insurance correspondence, and gathering of discovery.
- Monitor and take appropriate action on Service of Process activities received from our registered agent.
- Meet with MOD Leaders as a representative of the Legal Department and work cross-functionally with all departments.
- Aid in transactions and attend to administrative matters.
- Manage the Legal Department workflows, calendar, and deadlines, both independently and as requested by MOD’s in-house attorneys.
- Provide regular feedback and consultation to appropriate departments regarding the status of legal projects.
- Act as the primary administrator and gatekeeper for legal intake requests, including contract requests, estoppels, amendments, and other legal support inquiries.
- Maintain and oversee MOD’s contracts database and contract lifecycle management processes.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum two to four years’ experience in a legal administrative capacity, with significant oversight and operational responsibilities.
- Functional awareness of litigation and discovery processes and contract management to support intake and direction of requests.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and work efficiently and independently in a high-volume/high velocity, results-oriented environment.
- Ability to flex and shift priorities based on company needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail or restaurant industry experience preferred.
- Functional expertise in government business filings.
