About the role
The Legal Nurse Consultant acts as an expert clinical and educational resource to clients, providing real-time advice and managing complex medical case intakes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct real-time intakes on cases to identify optimal experts.
- Perform real-time chart reviews focusing on standard of care and physician documentation.
- Assist researchers in evaluating expert qualifications for medical malpractice and personal injury cases.
- Support in-house MDs with primary research, literature searches, and case settlement analysis using LexisNexis Medical Navigator.
Requirements
- Valid RN or NP license.
- Strong clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience at a law firm or in Legal Nurse Consulting.
- Background working in an emergency care department.
