About the role
The Legal Fellow will provide legal support to NIJC’s staff in their efforts to advance immigrant justice through litigation, policy advocacy, and community organizing.
Responsibilities
- Advise and assist in the development of legal strategies for NIJC’s cases
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Prepare legal documents and briefs
- Participate in legal trainings and workshops
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in law or related field
- Current admission to the bar in the United States
- Experience in legal research and writing
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
Qualifications
- Passionate about immigrant rights
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of immigration law
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
