About the role

The Legal Fellow will provide legal support to NIJC’s staff in their efforts to advance immigrant justice through litigation, policy advocacy, and community organizing.

Responsibilities

• Advise and assist in the development of legal strategies for NIJC’s cases
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Prepare legal documents and briefs
• Participate in legal trainings and workshops

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in law or related field
• Current admission to the bar in the United States
• Experience in legal research and writing
• Strong analytical and organizational skills

Qualifications

• Passionate about immigrant rights
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of immigration law
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
