Responsibilities
- Act as a thought partner to general counsel, chief compliance officers, and fund formation partners, building trusted relationships and identifying high-value opportunities for scaling Legora’s platform across strategies, funds, and jurisdictions.
- Take full ownership of client relationships, from running pilots and onboarding new team members to guiding firm-wide adoption across private equity, private credit, hedge funds, real estate, and infrastructure managers, as well as leading law firms.
- Serve as the voice of asset management users inside Legora, sharing insights that directly inform product development, roadmap priorities, and strategic direction.
- Deliver clear, confident product demos and training to diverse audiences, from general counsel to deal teams, ensuring the platform’s value is brought to life.
- Document best practices from leading asset managers and law firms, contribute to scalable playbooks, and help shape the global growth of this function.
- Help asset management teams navigate the shift to AI, evaluating ROI, mapping its impact on functions like fund formation and regulatory compliance, and addressing industry-specific challenges.
- Navigate the requirements of regulated financial institutions, including confidentiality, information barriers, vendor due diligence, and SEC oversight.
- Partner with deal teams on transaction workflows, building diligence grids, closing checklists, and document review processes for M&A, growth, and venture transactions.
Qualifications
- Hold a law degree (JD or equivalent) with 3+ years of experience in private funds, M&A/ECVC, or regulatory/compliance roles at a law firm, asset management firm, or investment firm.
- Understand asset management contexts, including fund lifecycles, GP/LP dynamics, side letters, regulatory landscapes (Advisers Act, Form ADV, SEC exams), and compliance requirements.
- Bring tech curiosity and product savvy, with the ability to navigate technical conversations around generative AI, implementation, and productivity tools.
- Communicate clearly and confidently across disciplines, translating complex ideas for diverse stakeholders.
- Excel in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, bringing structure to complexity and maintaining a calm, credible presence.
- Proactively evaluate and improve processes using emerging technologies, balancing speed and rigor in high-pressure environments.
- Understand the commercial realities of asset management, including fundraising timelines, investor expectations, and regulatory scrutiny.

Pay
Compensation Range: $225K - $325K
