About the role
RRD is seeking a Word Processing professional to support time-sensitive legal document projects. This fully onsite role involves working with a team across multiple shifts and locations to produce quality work and maintain high customer satisfaction. Candidates should have knowledge of legal word/document processing using various legal software, tools, and the Microsoft Office suite.
Responsibilities
- Create, edit, and format legal documents to firm specifications using a variety of software applications
- Convert, clean, and format documents to/from different file formats
- Create charts, graphs, tables, and spreadsheets as requested
- Create and/or edit Tables of Authorities and Table of Contents
- Perform data entry utilizing various software applications
- Transcribe analog or digital dictation files
- Restore/recover corrupted document files as necessary
- Provide telephone help desk support to troubleshoot application queries
- Complete all assigned jobs by the deadline in an accurate and timely manner
- Handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information
- Follow established policies and procedures at all times
- Perform additional duties as necessary or assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience in legal word processing or document production environment preferred
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office programs including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm with 95% accuracy
- Experience in legal word processing tasks such as:
- Creating TOAs, TOCs, inserting automated cross-references
- Converting PDFs to Word using a variety of software
- Applying Word styles using macros
- Troubleshooting problem documents including redlines, multiple numbering schemes, style separators, cross-references, and other automated fields
- Transcription experience a plus
- Knowledge of legal terminology and legal citations preferred

- Ability to work through complex legal document markups and instructions in a timely and accurate manner
- Ability to prioritize various requests and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to interact with clients and team members in a professional and respectful manner at all times
Schedule
Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Training: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (6 weeks onsite)
Pay
$23.08 hourly plus $1.00 shift differential.
