Legal Counsel, Privacy & Product

For our client, a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space, we are seeking a Legal Counsel focused on Privacy & Product to provide business-aligned guidance on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations, strengthening responsible execution and supporting sustainable growth.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s data privacy strategy and compliance efforts, including privacy notices and impact assessments
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to provide legal guidance on product development
• Advise Marketing on consumer protection and advertising legal requirements
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and contracts
• Build and improve legal operations, including contract management and knowledge workflows
• Leverage AI and legal technology for automation and workflow improvement
• Provide legal guidance on matters outside core expertise, including corporate and employment issues

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, or eligibility to register as in-house counsel where required
• 5+ years of relevant legal experience, including in-house experience at a high-growth technology company
• Strong experience in data privacy and product counseling
• Working knowledge of marketing/consumer protection and commercial contracts
• Strong legal judgment with the ability to provide clear business guidance
• Experience in fast-moving environments requiring prioritization and adaptability
• Curiosity and comfort owning matters outside existing expertise

Pay

$125,000 – $150,000 annually
