Product & Privacy Counsel

For our client, we are seeking a Product & Privacy Counsel to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role will serve as a key legal partner to product and engineering teams, helping guide new product development from concept through launch. You will provide practical, risk-based counsel on privacy, data protection, and product-related legal issues while supporting broader compliance efforts across a global technology environment. The position also plays an important role in scaling privacy processes and enabling cross-functional teams to move efficiently and responsibly. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $139,000 – $163,000 annually Responsibilities Partner with Product and Engineering teams to provide legal guidance on product development Conduct legal reviews of products and features to help mitigate identified risks Advise on legal and regulatory compliance across product functionalities Develop playbooks to support early identification of legal needs in product cycles Help scale privacy initiatives and operate the global privacy program effectively Manage compliance with global privacy laws and regulations such as GDPR and CCPA Collaborate with multiple departments to handle product and privacy matters efficiently Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school and active state bar membership 4+ years of legal experience in product counseling and privacy/data protection Experience advising technology companies, particularly in SaaS and cybersecurity Strong understanding of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and cross-border data transfer mechanisms Ability to comprehend technical data flows, software architecture, and cloud services Demonstrated strong legal judgment and practical risk-based decision-making skills Proficient in drafting and clear communication Benefits Inclusive team culture that values diversity and promotes growth Opportunities for career development in a dynamic environment Flexible hybrid and remote work options available Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance for employees and families Generous vacation policy and parental leave Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
