Legal Counsel - Litigation Manager
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Legal Counsel - Litigation Manager to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will guide litigation and pre-litigation matters that support the organization’s consumer finance operations. The position will partner closely with internal stakeholders and outside counsel to manage disputes, shape legal strategy, and help ensure compliance with applicable consumer protection requirements. The successful candidate will also conduct legal research, monitor complaint trends, and provide practical counsel that helps protect the organization’s interests and support effective resolution of customer issues.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Responsibilities
- Manage diverse litigation and pre-litigation disputes to protect the company’s interests
- Collaborate with team members to resolve customer disputes effectively
- Oversee outside counsel, managing strategies and budgets for litigation
- Execute the organization's complaint management program and monitor compliance with consumer protection laws
- Conduct legal research and document findings for internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- Licensed attorney with a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience in a law firm
- Expertise in litigation, including discovery, depositions, and motion practice; trial or arbitration experience preferred
- Excellent legal research and writing skills, with familiarity in Westlaw
- Outstanding professional and academic credentials
- Experience in consumer finance law or representation before state or federal regulators is a plus

Pay
$150,000 – $175,000 annually
