About the Team

This role is in our Data Infrastructure Legal team, a global group with colleagues in Los Angeles, London, Dublin, Sydney, Beijing, and São Paulo. The team supports our global digital infrastructure expansion outside of China (including TikTok and our enterprise products). As demand for compute grows, we provide integrated, commercially-driven legal advice across the full digital infrastructure stack—from data center capacity leasing to hyperscale cloud and next-generation AI infrastructure.

We seek an enthusiastic, proactive, resilient, and business-minded lawyer to support strategic infrastructure and compute transactions. While not essential, ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in two of the following:

  • Data center capacity leasing: colocation, build-to-suit, and capacity (space-and-power) arrangements
  • Cloud: complex or customized cloud agreements
  • AI infrastructure: emerging AI compute / GPU-as-a-Service capacity arrangements

Candidates from adjacent capital-intensive, highly regulated, or technically complex sectors (e.g., energy, utilities, or large-scale network/edge infrastructure) are also encouraged to apply. Strong legal and commercial judgment, along with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment, are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate the full suite of contractual documentation for leasing and delivering data center capacity, including colocation, build-to-suit, and capacity (space and power) agreements with major developers and operators.
  • Support power-related matters central to data center delivery, such as power purchase, utility interconnection, and renewables.
  • Negotiate cloud agreements across the stack, including large-scale and customized cloud capacity commitments and hyperscaler service agreements.
  • Negotiate AI infrastructure arrangements, including AI compute capacity reservations and GPU-as-a-Service / accelerated-compute deals with neo cloud providers.
  • Advise on laws and regulations relating to digital infrastructure and drive the development of standard policies and template agreements to improve efficiency and risk management.
  • Distill complex information to deliver clear, precise, and pragmatic advice to business and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Engage with stakeholders (including public policy teams) to advocate for the company’s interests in digital infrastructure development.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school (or foreign equivalent) with active membership in at least one US State Bar.
  • Outstanding stakeholder fluency and engagement.
  • Exceptional team spirit, an open mind, and a willingness to take initiative on a wide range of projects.
  • Ability to bridge global cultural and skillset differences through expertise, collaboration, and strong project management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI infrastructure / GPU-as-a-Service arrangements (strong plus).
  • Adaptability and comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
  • Ability to offer commercially viable alternatives as part of risk management.
  • Experience developing new documentation, best practices, and legal processes in a fast-paced international environment to enable business scaling.
