Legal Counsel - Dallas, TX (Remote)

For our client, we are seeking a Legal Counsel to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will provide legal guidance on insurance defense matters and support litigation strategy across the claims environment. You will evaluate liability, damages, and case value while partnering closely with the Claims Department and other internal stakeholders. The position also involves hands-on management of pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation in a fast-paced legal setting. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually Responsibilities Research applicable laws and prepare legal briefs and opinions Provide liability, damages, and case value assessments for the Claims Department Draft and manage pleadings, motions, and discovery materials Conduct depositions and examinations under oath Defend cases at trial or during dispositive hearings as assigned Qualifications 7+ years of insurance defense litigation experience required Juris Doctor degree required Admission to the Texas Bar required License in good standing with CLE compliance required Ability to travel for trials and meetings as needed Strong written documentation skills for effective communication Effective conflict resolution and multitasking abilities Benefits Personalized development programs Mentorship opportunities Certification assistance An inclusive and collaborative culture Flexibility to support well-being and career development Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
