About the role

This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Research laws and prepare legal briefs and opinions
• Provide opinions on liability and damages for the Claims Department
• Prepare pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
• Defend assigned matters at trial or hearings
• Conduct depositions and examinations before trial

Requirements

• 7+ years litigation experience in insurance/defense/personal injury
• Juris Doctor degree
• Admission to the Texas Bar
• Licensed and in good standing to practice in Texas
• Ability to travel for trials and depositions

Pay

$110,000 – $130,000 annually
