Legal Counsel – Contracts – Healthcare and Commercial Transactions

About the role

Provide strategic legal guidance on healthcare and contract law, support hospital initiatives, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of contracts including services, employment, research, and data agreements.
• Offer counsel on regulatory, privacy, and operational matters.
• Interpret laws and regulations impacting healthcare operations.
• Serve on committees and work with stakeholders as needed.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in healthcare and transactional law.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare laws (HIPAA, Stark, Anti-Kickback).

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of legal experience.
• In-house counsel background.
• Familiarity with risk management.
• Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
