We are a leading global luxury skincare CPG/retail brand headquartered in Midtown, New York.

About the role

As Legal Counsel, you will play a key role in providing expert legal advice and guidance on various matters within the CPG/retail industry. This role focuses on managing contracts, providing broad legal counsel to the business, and addressing legal risks while supporting business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts and agreements.
• Provide legal advice and support on regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Identify and mitigate potential legal risks across the business.
• Support intellectual property matters, including trademarks and copyright issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address legal concerns and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Manage external legal counsel as needed for specialized legal matters.
• Stay current on changes in laws and regulations affecting the CPG industry.
• Assist in dispute resolution and litigation management when necessary.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to practice law in the US (ideally NY State Bar).
• Experience with legal matters in the CPG, retail, or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of contract law and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
