About the role
Fisher Investments is a global investment management organization with over 45 years of experience. This role offers an opportunity to join their in-house legal team and contribute to their international growth and expansion.
Responsibilities
- Research and provide legal and regulatory analysis and advice on financial services and investment management, privacy, employment and other laws and regulations globally
- Conduct legal analysis of complex topics and translate this analysis into practical and succinct legal advice
- Participate in ad-hoc regulatory and business projects, including implementation of new legislation or regulatory requirements
- Launch new regulated entities (including incorporation and licensing)
- Draft or review various documents related to legal support of the business globally, such as commercial contracts, employment agreements, investment management agreements, fund documentation, policies, and business guidelines
- Handle corporate law and commercial matters
- Handle employment law and litigation matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate vendor contracts
- Coordinate with external counsel on various matters
- Train and mentor paralegals, fellow lawyers, and business colleagues on new or changing regulations and other matters
Qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited law school, with admission to a bar
- 6+ years' post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years of experience at a mid to large-sized law firm
- Ability to balance business interests against legal and regulatory risks and consider the bigger picture, strategic goals
- Familiarity with international investment management, employment, or privacy laws in various jurisdictions (though not mandatory)

Pay
The pay range for this role is $100,000 - $150,000 annually.
