This position provides legal guidance to DHSS programs and will handle a variety of responsibilities, with opportunities to emphasize practice areas that interest the attorney.
Pay
Pay is commensurate with experience. The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
What You’ll Do
- Represent DHSS in circuit courts and hearings tribunals
- Aid with Administrative Rulemaking
- Aid with legislative review
- Pursue guardianships for adults
- Represent DHSS in employee disqualification matters
- Provide other legal services as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Current member of the Missouri Bar in good standing
- Able to travel in-state to circuit courts; overnight travel is rare, but required on occasion
- Experience with probate and/or administrative law is preferred but not required

Current member of the Missouri Bar in good standing. Able to travel in-state to circuit courts; overnight travel is rare, but required on occasion. Experience with probate and/or administrative law is preferred but not required.
