About the role

This is a remote/telecommute position. As a Business Collections Specialist, you will collect payments or communicate/resolve issues with debtors, collaborating with clients, sales, and peers on delinquent accounts. The primary role involves contacting debtors by phone, mail, or email to examine their financial situation, review documents/contracts, resolve disputes, and establish resolutions while adhering to all compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Make a minimum of 80 outbound/inbound calls daily
• Negotiate payment in full or secure payment arrangements
• Create a sense of urgency for non-paying debtors
• Work closely with the Client Support Representative to resolve disputes
• Maintain a positive attitude and remain respectful to debtors and peers
• Demonstrate strong work ethics and integrity
• Prioritize time management and remain professional at all times
• Meet or exceed monthly phone, activity, and fee quotas

Requirements

• Collections, sales, telemarketing, customer service, or call center experience preferred
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, data entry, and strong computer skills; Excel preferred
• Critical thinking and basic math and writing skills
• Salesforce experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and goal-oriented mindset
• Ability to de-escalate adverse situations
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Dependability

Pay

$12.98 per hour plus commission and bonuses
