Legal Business Analyst
We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst with exposure to the legal domain to serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and translating business needs into clear technical requirements that guide understanding of the problem statement, solution design, development, and implementation.
About the role
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
5 to 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, including at least 2 years in the Legal domain.
Responsibilities
- Assess the performance of project teams to ensure targets and deadlines are met.
- Test and improvise system operations.
- Supervise the design of new products and evaluate sales patterns.
- Handle customer relationships and expectations by developing communication processes to keep stakeholders updated on project results.
- Provide project analysis to senior management by producing documentation including business requirements, future state proposals, UAT plans, use cases, sequence diagrams, and scope matrices.
- Analyze and precisely document business and systems requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between business operations and IT professionals to gather requirements for system modifications, enhancements, and strategy implementation.
- Communicate project status effectively to partners and leadership, identifying and resolving risks and issues.
- Act as a point of contact for business partners, keeping the organization informed of program or new product risks, mitigations, and developments.
- Support the team with case management, calendaring, creating agendas, notetaking, and preparing presentations and project-related materials.
- Identify areas for optimization and oversee the design and implementation of innovative solutions, including technological and operational remedies.
- Gather business requirements and build prototypes according to those requirements.
- Support applications in production.
- Work closely with business managers, technical leads, and developers to ensure delivery and support of solutions.
- Monitor and track the progress and status of projects and follow-up actions.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in the legal domain.
- Experience with Litify for application customization, configuration, process analysis, and design (mandatory).
- Understanding of legal operations such as Intellectual Property, Legal Compliance, Matter Management, and operations.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and the latest technologies in the legal domain.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders and counsel’s offices to detail business requirements.
- Proven ability to conduct and document legal business functional and technical requirements, develop user stories, create process flow diagrams, and use cases.
- Ability to track the development cycle, conduct UAT, provide status updates, and lead business review meetings.

Pay
Salary range: $63,000 to $134,500
