Legal billing specialist

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Biller / Accounting Specialist to join a fast-paced, professional services environment. This role is responsible for managing the full billing cycle, supporting accounting operations, and ensuring accurate and timely invoicing in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process client invoices in accordance with billing guidelines
• Manage full-cycle legal billing, including edits, adjustments, and write-offs
• Submit electronic invoices through e-billing platforms (e.g., LEDES formats)
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
• Reconcile billing records and resolve discrepancies
• Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and internal teams on billing inquiries
• Assist with month-end close, reporting, and general accounting support

Qualifications

• 3+ years of legal billing and/or accounting experience
• Strong understanding of billing processes, AR concepts, and financial reporting
• Experience with e-billing systems and billing software preferred
• High attention to detail and accuracy in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Pay

$75,000 - $95,000 per year
